The Marion County Supervisor of Elections is offering a Candidate Workshop for individuals seeking to run for local office in 2024 or interested in learning about the candidate process. The workshop will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Marion County Election Center located at 981 NE 16th Street, Ocala.
The workshop will be presented by Marion County Supervisor of Elections Wesley Wilcox, CERA, and will cover the fundamentals of the candidate process and how to successfully navigate a campaign. Participants will learn about the qualifying process, petition requirements, campaign finance, reporting requirements, political advertising, and more.
Candidates, campaign staff, and members of the public are encouraged to attend. The workshop is free to attend but space is limited. Please RSVP by Tuesday, January 23, 2024 to CandidateSchool@VoteMarion.Gov or 352-620-3290.
